Stayaction 2016
To celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary we decided to stay close to home, like 10 miles from home. Living in the ‘burbs I get the itch to live the city life. My parents took little lady for the weekend and we had ZERO plans. Well we planned to sleep in (YAYYY) and make no plans. Where ever the wind took us that’s where we would go. Walking out the door as we tried to hail a cab or attempt to book an UBER we saw the city bikes you could rent. We went for it and had a great time riding around town. We decided to take the long way to lunch to bypass the sidewalk traffic and stumbled into the 4th Ward (can we move there right now!). I highly recommend renting the Bikes CLT has around town for a day date.
I am slightly obsessed with my little southern city, Charlotte. The city is constantly expanding with new and exciting restaurants, stores, and fun things to do. I love being able to call Charlotte home and raise my family here.
Some of the great places we ventured into included
- Wooden Robot Brewery
- Bulldog Beer and Wine (processo on tap… umm yes please!)
- 7th Street Market: Not Just Coffee cold brew was just the kick I needed after that processo on tap
- Alexander Michael’s Tavern: one of our favorite hidden gem tucked away in the 4th Ward
- The Cellar at Duckworths’: delicious special dinner to celebrate !
