To Travel is to Live

We look the leap… we went on a vacation together …wait for it… without the Baby! A few weeks ago me and hubs headed out west for a skiing vacation to Lake Tahoe. In Kelly fashion the trip started off with a bang, well with a blizzard in Denver (which is where had to connect through to get to Reno, NV). And well the airport closed… yippie… jk boo! This almost was the trip that didn’t happen. After numerous calls and a trip to the airport ticket counter Clark was finally able to get us on another airline. Wheels up!

I must say Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places on beautiful. You have the snow capped mountains, crystal clear water and the beautiful greenery. Truely amazing.

We skied at Heavenly Ski Resort in south Lake Tahoe. We stayed in Nevada which meant we could a little gambling!!! I won $15 on my first slot machine pull and that was pretty much all I won. We also saw one of the hubs favorite band play at the Casino. A little rock and roll and a little gambling makes for a fun night:)

Last stop was to  visit the guys high school friend who lives on the North Shore. He took us to the late during sunset and it was breathtaking. I could see why he moved out there and hasn’t come back to NC yet. We can’t wait to go back in the summer and do some lake activities…. Until next time Lake Tahoe!
