If you’re a new mama and nursing, functional tops are a must! Once you find your way out of the newborn fog and venture back into the world around you clothes that are nursing friendly is a necessity. Luckily nowadays there are so many major retailers that carry nursing brands. Also more and more small businesses are creating lines for postpartum moms. Yay!
Once I headed back to work after a 3 month maternity leave I needed some clothes to fit my changing body (elastic waistband aren’t just for pregnancy 🙂 ). I also needed forgiving tops that could accommodate my even larger chest. At 6 months postpartum by body is still changing day to day. Then if you add on nursing on top of the hormone changes with a fluctuating body, finding stylish and functional clothing can be extremely tough.
Here are some of my favorite finds from my past 6 months postpartum. As a working, exclusive pumping, mom of two kiddos I don’t have time to shop or $$ to spend on clothes I know that in a year I may not fit in or won’t need for nursing. Hope these are helpful!
Stock up on these great basics. I think these are the best bang for your buck. They offer lots of support, length, and stretch.
This bra is great for everyday wear. It offers great support and considering how your cup size will change often throughout the 1st year of postpartum the price point is very reasonable. As a larger chest gal its one of the few I’ve found available in my size.
The perfect bra for when you first get home. This wireless bra is perfect for lounging around the house with a newborn. No underwire is super comfy for when your milk is coming in.
