Memorial Day Weekend = Summer’s unofficial kickoff YAY!
This past weekend we traveled to my parent’s beach home with some close friends. Tropical storm Bonnie visited us but that didn’t stop the fun. We have learned traveling with a 1 year old is a whole different experience than the just the two of us hopping in the car and going. There were tears and laughs during the car ride but then lots of smiles once we saw Pop and Mom Mom when we pulled in the driveway This was little ladies first beach trip as a walker… so the actual beach and sand was new to her. The kiddos had a great time together and I am looking forward to all the memories they will create together in years to come:)

Hello Tropical Storm Bonnie! A little rain and wind never hurt anyone! Tent went up around the pool while the babes napped and then it was cocktail hour under the house.
The mommies nibbled on homemade guacamole and Beach Breeze cocktails (thanks to Chrystal at Happy-Mothering.com ) It was so refreshing and perfect for a rainy afternoon. Here is the super yummy recipe :Beach Breeze Cocktail
The kiddos “played” cornhole along with popping bubbles. You know have a keeper (Laura 🙂 )when Dad uses the princess bubble wand and the kids go nuts!
Talk about pure joy! The little loves had a blast at the beach.
Done adulting for the day! A huge thumbs up to my parents for watching the kids (and putting to bed, which sometimes isn’t easy) while us “kids” were able to go out for a drinks and dinner on the inlet. Cheers! Hello Summer so happy to see you:) Until next time Surfside, SC.
