Hello 2018!
Who doesn’t love a good mood board to start off your year right? Growing up we often did these in school or on the weekend with our girlfriends. I think I could go pro in collage making. I loved using my YM, Seventeen, and Teen People magazines to make the classic teen cork board mood board. Things have obviously changed since then (thank you pinterest and bloggers). So here are my 2018 wishes, hopes, and dreams! I wont bore you with all of them since some are total long shots but if I’ll be happy to give them a shot. I’d to hear if you share any of the same aspirations or what your inspirations for 2018 are. Let’s cheers to what hopefully is the best year yet!
Baby Bain Girl due this Spring
I can’t believe the holidays have come and gone. In my head I kept saying after the holidays and Big sis birthday next weekend we would start getting our plan together for life with a new baby. AHHH well that time is practically here! The nesting has started to take over me (and the panic) of how this little one will fit into our life. Don’t get me wrong I am SUPER excited for the new adventure but the logistics of moving around the kids rooms, pulling out and washing all the newborn toys, sheets, and clothing is a bit daunting. I am up for the challenge though! Currently on the hunt for inspiration for a toddler girls bedroom. Its been fun! Oh and I guess we should start thinking of a name for baby sis 😉
Home Purge and Refresh
As we move around the little ladies room’s when the new baby arrives it’s been the perfect time to purge the clutter from our house (and life). I already started and its so refreshing. When we moved into our new home 5 years ago I literally moved untouched boxes from our first home. Classic sign of hoarding haha. Do I really need the notebook of all my wedding planning to-dos? NOPE! There are plenty of things we are donating and making room for more things that matter to our family. I hope to simply our home life and carry that over into my business. No need to overthink or complicate our life. (How cute is this white playroom with pops of color playroom? and I would DIE for a fiddle fig tree. But this black thumb will not allow it 🙂 )
Celebrate all the Wins
I am so proud of this little side business of mine! In my 3rd year of photographing families I was determined to make it the best for my clients. I took the time to educate myself on how to better serve my clients and how to streamline my own business processes (with a toddler and a finding out I was pregnant this was critical to staying sane!) With that said in 2018 I want to focus even more on the wins, even the small ones. Celebrate the accomplishment and push myself for something bigger and better next time. My main goal is to blog more and give my clients and audience something in return. So be on the look out for more tips, tricks, life hacks, and I got your backs in 2018!
So these are just a few of my hopes and dreams for 2018! I can’t wait to see where the year takes me! Thank you for following along 🙂 Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year, Cheers friends! Love, Kelly
