Happy Valentines Day!
Pucker up and get those lips smooch worthy, Valentine’s Day is here! As I started to brainstorm ideas for a Vday blog post I kept comparing myself to all those amazing mommy and fashion bloggers who really have their stuff together. They have amazing post about crafts, super cute outfits, and “why didn’t I think of that diy” gifts. Major shout out to you ladies, I give you mad props. Instead of my even trying to come close to a top 10 (or lets be honest a top 5) of my favorite Valentines pastimes I thought it would be fun to look at through the eyes of an everyday Mom. Anyone else with me and have grand ideas of glamorous decor for a date night at home, the ever so thoughtful diy toddler gifts for Dad or Grandparents, and finding the most perfect pink or red shade of lipstick to match your date night outfit? All to come short? and me its like coming up VERY short and you know what, its OK! I love holidays and celebrating with my friends and family and that’s all that matters! There you have it! It’s not about if its pinterest worthy or how many “likes” you get based on your clever cocktail or dinner presentation. The memories I’ve made from attempting to celebrate these fun holidays is really all that matters. So go enjoy those moments with your family and stop fretting about all the details. I promise the kids wont remember if you followed the recipe or not, but they will remember the laughs, hugs, and time you all spent together. With that said we are starting new traditions to celebrate this loving holiday. Cheers to you creating your own. We found the cutest Disney Princess baking set at Target. Little lady loved the kids spatula and “mixed” her own dough with some help from Grandmother and Aunt. Valentines day baking was a huge hit. 🙂 XOXO
And I couldn’t resist adding a photo from my favorite Valentine’s Day (so far). Our daughter turned one month old and we had our first major outing to see family and friends. I love my little angel and am so blessed to call her my little Valentine!
