Donuts for all!
Happy Third Birthday Avery
This weekend we celebrated our little lady’s 3rd Birthday! Saturday we threw her a donuts themed party with all our family and friends and their little ones. We had a packed house with lots of kiddos enjoying lots of sweets. They had lots of energy and we were all super excited to celebrate her Birthday! I must say that I think getting ready for this party was more fun for me than anyone else. Who doesn’t love sprinkles, balloons, and sweet treats?!! It was the perfect theme for a brunch birthday party (gotta work around those naptime schedules 🙂 )
It’s hard to imagine that 3 years ago (almost to the minute of writing of this post) we were holding our baby girl in our arms for the first time. I seriously don’t know where the time has gone (I know us moms always say that). But it’s so true. The 1st year was tough adjusting to the way of life and a change in family dynamic but we made it. Year 1-2 was a whirlwind of chasing after a waddling infant but year 2 was an exciting one! Seeing our little one strive to be independent and do it all on her own was such a thrill. Seeing her take pride in achieving even the smallest tasks on her own melted our hearts. It amazing to thinking about where she was this time a year ago compared to now. Our little toddler is a now inching closer and closer to little girl status. She is one chatty, smart, strong willed, independent, loving, caring, sensitive girl. I am so proud to her be mama and soon will see her become a big sister. She already is so helpful and willing to jump at the chance to take on any mama duties. Once the new baby is here she will be super helpful.
So to put to put it in a nutshell I am one proud mama! I am not gonna lie there were certainly some difficult parenting moments (hello tantrums and timeouts) that made it seem like I had no idea what I was doing or if it was ever going to get better. I didn’t even know I that that level of patience! But for all those hard parenting moments there are one million amazing small day to day moments that melted my heart. I can’t wait to see what the next year has in store for our little love. Here’s to the terrific 3s!
