Life Lately

It’s been awhile since I’ve given you all a life lately update. Here we are in the thick of the holiday season and are busier than ever. I will admit we are in a good groove with routine and schedules (FINALLY). The most exciting news is that littlest lady is sleeping through the night! Only took us 7 months but YESSS. All you mamas know the value of a good, uninterrupted full night of rest is! (Shout out to Taking Cara Babies for the help! Seriously if you need help with sleep schedules she is your gal!) Big sister has been such a great helper and really matured over the last 6 months. It warms my heart to see these sweet sisters interact together and grow together. They love playing with one another. Avery’s nick name for her little sister is “Goo Goo”. Which is so ridiculous it’s adorable. She said it’s because she is a baby and babies say “goo goo gaa gaa”. Oh the things kids come up with haha:)

The last few months we’ve busy busy! Littlest lady was baptized (same church her sister did, and where me and my husband got married) It was such a special day, and we loved sharing it with family and friends. I’ve been busy with the day job during the week and meeting up with families for portraits on the weekend. Fall is always the busiest time of year for me but I made a point this year to not over do it and still allow time with my family. In the past I’ve been way over stressed that it took out the joy of photography. I can gladly say that this Fall I found a good work/life balance (finally!).

What’s next for us? To be honest I’m not really sure. My corporate job has lots of big changes happening. Since our company was bought out I’ve was asked to relocate. We decided that staying in Charlotte was best for us right now. The office doesn’t close until this summer/early Fall. So I’ll be working until then.  Then who knows?!! In the mean time I’m really excited to ramp up my blog and share some exciting things! Can’t wait for this journey and adventure with you all along the way. 🙂
