Perry Family Session | Independence Park | Charlotte, NC
It was the perfect spring day at Independence Park. You would’ve never guessed we were only a few miles from the hustle and bustle of center city Charlotte. This quaint little park is usually very quiet and has lovely walking trails. The rose garden literally bloomed that week and left a beautiful backdrop of pinks and purples flowering hues. I jump at the chance to shoot a family portrait session here. I had the pleasure of meeting the Perry Family and their extended family on a gorgeous spring day here.
This park was were Brian and Emily took photos on their wedding day. I was honored to have taken their family portrait and daughter’s 1st Birthday. I love that Emily decided to meet at such a meaningful place. It made this session so special and made me fall in love with I do even more.
Emily and Brian’s children, Henry and Lydia were so sweet! Lydia was celebrating her 1st Birthday and was all smiles for the camera. Big brother Henry made sure to stay close to his little sister the whole session. It really was one of the sweetest things I’ve seen. The big bear hugs between the parents and their children were so genuine and unscripted I could see how much the family really loves each other. When their extended family arrived Grandma was so excited to see her grandchildren. Everyone had big smiles on their faces. It truly was a pleasure working with Brian and Jay and their families. They all took direction so well and were excited to be there! They made my job a breeze and it really shows with all those beaming smiles during their session. I can imagine how much fun they have together during family gatherings. I hope you enjoy!
