October 2016 : Family Portrait Session
The Botha Family wanted to capture some sweet pictures of their little lady and their furry family member, Roger. Janna mentioned that she wanted an outdoor session with the possibility of some city backdrops. Immediately I thought of one of favorite hidden spots in Uptown Charlotte, The Fourth Ward Park. The park is tucked in between high rises and historic homes. Beautiful mature trees, manicured gardens, and babbling fountains provided the perfect back drop for this precious family. The morning we met was glorious! The sun was shining and the fall temperatures finally found the Carolinas. With a beautiful setting a very happy baby we were set up for a great session, and that’s just what happened 🙂
Rodger (the friendly big furry brother) was so well behaved! (Oh and he wore a bowtie… does it get any better?!!) He seems perfectly content sharing his parents attention with his new little sister. He was so gentle with baby Emma. He would find his way to sit and lay down next to her throughout the session. I can tell they are going to grow up together as best friends 🙂 Emma looks like she is ready to move so Roger you better get ready! Your ears will be tugged, collar will be pulled and lots of fun times are ahead!
You can tell Janna and Darren are over the moon and in love with their daughter. Anytime I asked them to look at Emma, I got genuine smiles, long snuggles, and big giggles. You can tell in these images how tight knit this family is. This session was a dream and reminded me how much fun it is to work with with these little ones. Their personalities are growing and the love to show it off for the camera. Janna and Darren and their family were wonderful to shoot. I can’t wait to see how sweet little Emma grows!
